Submitted by: Fast_FingarzArtist: Skillet Album: Collide Song: Under my skin Tabbed by: John Catlin Yo, this is a great song and its conceptually easy to play. Im surprised there wasn't a bass tab for it already. Well here ya go, eye the tuning first. It can be played in standard tuning, all strings dropped a half step. On the verses, listen to the bass line closely to hear its details, becuase they're all in there, heh. ANd of course, always listen to the timing on the CD to get this song just right. Thx. The bass kicks in when Kooper starts singing (after two bars of the intro) and it goes like this. A#)-------------------------------------------------------- C#)-------------------------------------------------------- G#)--------0--0-0--2-2-2----------------------------------- D#)-3-3-3-----------------3--3-3--------------------------- This basic pattern is played four times, on the fourth time, it looks like this. A#)-------------------------------------------------------- C#)-------------------------------------------------------- G#)--------0--0-0--2-2-2--2/10-10-10----------------------- D#)-3-3-3-------------------------------------------------- The chorus looks like this: A#)-------------------------------------------------------- C#)------------------2h4-4--------------------------------- G#)-----00---2-2-0h2----------------2-2-0h2---------------- D#)-3-3---------------------3-3-0-------------------------- repeat this pattern three times, on the third time, don't play the last -0h2- and instead play just the 2 on that string. The second verse is exact same as first, and the second chorus is the exact same as the first. During the guitar solo right after chorus two, the bass part is the exact same as the last run through of the chorus pattern: A#)-------------------------------------------------------- C#)------------------2h4-4--------------------------------- G#)-----00---2-2-0h2----------------2-2-2------------------ D#)-3-3---------------------3-3-0-------------------------- When the bass kicks in on the bridge, it plays twice and goes as follows: A#)-------------------------------------------------------- C#)-------------------------------------------------------- G#)--------0--0-0--2-2-2--2--2-2--------------------------- D#)-3-3-3-------------------------------------------------- The remainder of the song is the Chorus pattern repeated numerous times. There ya go.
